It started raining over here today. I like rain. The sound of rain calms me as it falls and drips on the millions of things outside and coats the bare branches of our maple and cherry trees with diamonds.

And the birds are starting to sing (and the bluejays scream) while a pair of Starlings make a nest right under our roof by our bathroom for a third consecutive season.

There is that heady smell of flowers flowing in the air as the crocuses and osoberry begin to bloom and bring color to an otherwise dreary winter.

Spring is coming.

And we have finally settled on a date for the wedding and reception. September 7th here we come!

Until then, I'm going to hang with the kitties and relax while we're both watching birds forage for food in the yard.
